How Long Does SEO Can Take?

Share

One of the most frequently SEO questions, “how long does SEO Take?” sure it’s difficult to answer.

This is because, in addition to all the variables that play a role in optimizing your own website, you can also use the same variables in an effort to optimize your competition. This can make it difficult to answer complex questions.

The short answer is “dependent”.

Unfortunately, I will not give you a specific time frame for SEO results, because this is not possible. I will not publish a secret formula to answer this question because it does not exist.

There are three specific criteria that play an important role in how long SEO is: competition, inbound links, and content.

Competition

If you sell something like candy smelling tuna, you might not face competition. However, those of us who sell products and services purchased by real people face different levels of competition driven by demand.

For example, a plumber will be served a small local market-facing less competition from real estate agents in the same city, who will be faced with less competition than a national mortgage company.

As you can imagine, the more competitive the website you meet, the longer the results are needed.

Both the level of difficulty and the time needed usually follow the bell curve because lower ranked websites are easier to beat and it is increasingly difficult to make web pages so far. Come closer to the first page.

There are important and often overlooked aspects of contests that most people don’t even realize, and this is the relationship between the competitive size of a niche and the expertise of SEO experts behind the top ranking sites in that niche.

Demand is turning companies into niches, which leads to more competition. This competition forces them to offer more competitive offers, which means they need to get more market share to remain profitable.

These are environments that usually favor large companies with deeper pockets – and they are able to hire the best SEO specialists in the industry.

If you face this situation, you will face a longer and harder battle.

LINK BUILDING

It’s no secret that links still play a large role in search engine optimization, but the impact on duration depends on several deeper factors.

The first is the volume of links to your website. In general, more links will help you get faster SEO results, but this is not just a numbers game.

Many links from low-quality websites not only can help you rank – they can hurt you and slow you down. Instead, focus on high-quality links from relevant websites.

Finally, your speed at making connections and the speed at which you get historical income also play a role, because the overall increase is an unnatural attempt to manipulate rankings.

This may seem less natural, but depending on other factors, such as the latest media coverage, new product launches, or deadly content marketing campaigns, it might be natural:

The sooner you get a suitable and high-quality link, the faster you qualify. However, this is related to the warning. Connection speed – the speed at which you connect – must be relatively stable.

Of course, if the tactics of building links adhere to Google’s guidelines, that should be. When you use Black Hat tactics, you usually see unnatural patterns that can slow down your progress.

The content published on your website also matters how quickly you see the results. First, you need to know that quality is very important.

Fortunately, the days when you kill hundreds of articles the 300 words you ordered on Fiverr will not move the needle when it comes to your rank.

Don’t interpret this now. This means that every part of the content that you publish must be 4000 words. In fact, there is no minimum or even ideal length – content must be long enough to resolve visitor problems.

There is a myth that you have to publish new content slowly. This is based on the theory that publishing lots of new content at once can be unnatural for Google and thus affect your placement. It is understandable how people believe this myth, but officially denied by Google.

If you have great content, there is no reason for an SEO perspective to not immediately publish it. The sooner you get it, the faster it has a positive effect on your ranking. Just waiting makes your SEO longer.

It should be noted that the website ranks according to its age. In other words, newer pages tend not to be as good as older pages, but this is caused by other factors, not age.

In this context, I suggest maintaining a consistent publication schedule, rather than publishing it in a jump, but for two reasons:

Google shows that new content is regularly added to your site, which generally encourages spiders to explore it more often. This speeds up SEO efforts.

This encourages users to return to your site more often. This can help send us a warning of user experience to Google to speed up your SEO efforts.

So everything is just a guess?

Our work is very similar to the work of meteorologists who, although all our knowledge, experience and tools, are often wrong. And it was very similar to my local meteorologist, who wanted me to suffocate until he turned blue if my beach plan was destroyed by the rain that he promised would not have happened. Our clients are often equally disappointed if they see results from their SEO campaigns as fast as you like.

Part of the job of an SEO specialist is to manage customer expectations. This is an area where many fail.

With the information they want to hear from too many practitioners, many clients today have unrealistic expectations. As a result, many people think that this only takes a few weeks or even several months.

You can see an increase in organic rankings in a few weeks and increase traffic to low competitive keywords. On the other hand, topics that are fought over moderately can take months, while very competitive phrases can even take a year or more!

For example, my team managed to place Website #1 for the term “marketing company“, which has generated a stream of potential customers for several years. Apart from our skills, human resources, and resources, we need about one year of consistent work to achieve this.

On the other hand, certain customers who have almost no digital presence have come to us when a website has published some complicated information about it that was completely interrupted. It costs a lot of money after he won first place on Google because of his own name. Fortunately, there is little competition for its own name, and this site doesn’t have much power, so we can fill the first page in search results with pages that we control in just a few weeks.

I also see cases where customers and even agencies have used tactics that violate Google’s Webmaster Guidelines to speed up the process. Even though this may work in the short term, you will eventually get a penalty and you will return farther than you started.
