About Yamunotri

According to legends, bathing in this holy river will destroy all the sins and get salvation from the cycle of life and death. It is believed that once sage Asit Muni uses to take baths in the river Yamuna and Ganga, but during his old age, he was not able to visit both places, so for him, Goddess Ganga and Goddess Yamuna mixed themselves. Yamunotri temple was built in 1839 but destroyed due to an earthquake later. After that, Maharani Gularia reconstruct this temple in the late 19th century. 

About Gangotri

After Yamunotri, Gangotri comes in second place in visiting Chota Char Dham places but stands as the holiest river which has the biggest recognition in various religions. Gangotri temple is made by Amar Singh Thapa to worship Goddess Ganga.

When King Sagar sent his 60,000 sons in the search of the lost horse and while finding the horse they destroyed the Ashram and the sage who was in deep austerity. Kapila destroyed all his 60,000 sons and turned them into ashes. After the Kapila’s advice, Anshuman (King Sagar’s grandson) asked help from Goddess Ganga for cleaning all the ashes and grant salvation but Anshuman was failed but Bhagirath (Anshuman’s grandson) was succeeded in his aim.

About Kedarnath

Kedarnath, one of the most spiritual place is named after Lord Shiva and also one of the most beautiful places in the whole Uttarakhand. Kedarnath temple has the Shivalinga of which 75% part is located under the ground. The most beautiful Kedarnath Dham has an immense and wonderful history.

History of Kedarnath

When Pandavas won the war from the Kauravas, they searched Lord Shiva to erase all their sins but Lord Shiva was so much angry with them so he won’t meet them and took a form of a bull, still, Pandavas recognized Lord Shiva and asked them to remove all their sins. The different parts of the bull are found at different places and those five places are named as five Kedars.

About Badrinath

Badrinath is known for the place of Lord Vishnu, and also lists among the big Chardham Yatra which is at the different corners of India. History of Badrinath
