With summer starting, a lot of people are starting to panic because they can’t seem to shed those last couple of pounds. Even if you’re not only thinking of aesthetic goals while training, you’d surely want to reach some of your personal fitness goals much faster, be it successfully completing a 5k or just getting a bit toned. You don’t have to worry, we’ve got you covered.

Here are some great tips on how to kick ass in the gym and reach your fitness goals in no time!

1. Move your body every day

Spend at least one hour each day working out. Running, jogging or any other kind of vigorous exercise is not required, but it is recommended that you engage in some form of physical activity on a daily basis. A high-intensity exercise is the best way to lose weight quickly if that’s your goal. However, you don’t have to do HIIT every day to see results. For example, a one-hour brisk stroll can sometimes be just enough.

Set a timer for an hour and wear your most comfortable shoes. Do not exercise if you are in excruciating discomfort – it’s highly important to listen to your own body. After an intense exercise, your muscles will be sore the next day. It may annoy you, but it’s a good sign that your body is evolving in a positive direction. After each activity, be sure to drink plenty of water, stretch, and consume a substantial quantity of protein-rich meals. Protein aids in muscle repair, not fat storage.

2. Building muscle is important

Nowadays, everyone wants to get tones without really knowing what it means. Most of the time you’d like to focus on lowering your body fat and gaining muscle mass. However, many women are afraid of building muscle for fear of getting bulky. Don’t worry! Getting bulky is an extremely hard thing for women to achieve because of different hormone levels than men. So, get your booty to the gym and start lifting to see some results!

If you don’t have access to a gym like some Australians living in remote areas of the country, invest in kettlebells Australia. Home gyms are certainly not inferior to commercial ones, especially not if you’re following a specific workout regiment.

3. Know your goals

How can you achieve your goals if you aren’t specific about them? Having figured out why you’re doing what you’re doing, draw down a list of achievable objectives. Achieving these aims will require they be very basic. For example, you can write – I’d like to run a mile in 5 minutes. Nice start! So you should organize your exercises so they can help you reach your goals. Start small and build up the intensity to work towards your goal.

Make a goal to stick to your routine for a full month. Remove a goal from your list after you’ve achieved it, then set a new, more ambitious objective.

4. Be consistent

Don’t miss out on the gym more than two days in a row if you have to. You have to push yourself if you want to keep up with your workouts until they become a habit. Any work is appreciated, no matter how tiny. Try working out in the morning if you know you have a long day ahead of you. You’ll be able to cross your exercise off your to-do list and start your day with a good dose of energy.

Being persistent and devoted is the only way to build long-term habits. It’s preferable to get at least 15 minutes of exercise than to do nothing at all. When an activity becomes a habit it’ll be much easier to stay consistent. Never put things off, but instead keep pushing ahead and making the most of each day.

5. Hire a personal trainer

With the support of a qualified trainer, you may accomplish your objectives quicker and in a more safe manner. There are a few things to bear in mind while looking for a trainer. Hire a trainer who has a degree from a reputable university and at least a few years of experience. Most personal trainers are tied to certain gyms and you’ll have to pay a monthly gym fee as well, so keep that in mind.

Also, make sure to be open with your personal trainer and tell them what you wish to achieve. On the other hand, don’t forget to clarify if you have any special physical conditions before you start working out! For example, your trainer has to know if you have bad knees!

With your tips in mind, we hope you’ll achieve your goals much faster. Make sure to invest in a gym with a lot of equipment and space for working out. Also, being consistent is half the work done, so make sure not to slack off and actually go have your workout done! Don’t forget to have fun in your workout journey and listen to your body!
